Charlie van Rensselaer is the current Rex Templar of the Templar Order of the Vatican, making him the leader of the group and a high ranking official of the Roman Catholic sect. He is the twin (older) brother of Whiskey Van Rensselaer. He is bonded through magic and affection to other members of the infamous Coteries: Serafina Giovanni, Dahlia, and Vic Giovanni. Him and his sister are the legal guardians of a ward name Lovecraft Maldonado, a Scribe of the Templar Order of the Vatican. He is a Fallen Demon, and the current (and only historical) host of Kushiel, the General of Lucifer Morningstar.
