Born August 1st, 1982, in life Josiah was every inch a member of the Gentry House Howard. Though where his cousin Gwendolyn Cavendish maintained the perfect polish expected of their line, Josiah was a first and only born son with the temperament of a second born and a thirst for sensation akin to the most indulgent followers of the Path of Cathari. Known in the press for being a playboy, a rake, and an altogether indulgent young man that the crown needed to bring to heel to save some semblance of decorum. It was oddly enough the intervention of his sire that gave the teenaged Josiah his first taste of responsibility and consequence.

Embraced in the year the 20th century died, the seventeen year old neonate was immediately taken in by his sire in fiery crucible to come out her flawless blade to enact her desires and ambitions in the Camarilla. He was sent to the Domain of Providence where he rose in Kindred Society in expedience. Though becoming Harpy was the least of his ambitions, it was a prize secured without much difficulty with the ear of the Ventrue Prince and the highest connected members of the Court another accolade swiftly earned. He was integral to the discovery of what lay sleeping in the bay, as well as it's continued slumber and it was the lengths he went to coupled with his mastery of securing the Masquerade that engendered him an invitation to Vienna. He spent the better part of the 2010s with the Justicar Council; learning, observing, adapting, and gaining untold boons and confidences.

It is unknown whether or not Josiah recalls the events of the Apocalypse.

After the trial of Evelynn Hastings by the Justicar Council, Josiah was sent to the Domain of New Orleans in the interim to serve the Court and the Camarilla.
