Oliver Bouchard is the son of Eliot Bouchard and Mary Bouchard. It is clear that the family is rather affluent, with old money coming from Mary's side of the family, though Ollie seems to prefer affording his belongings on his own paycheck. He does not tend to spend a lot of time talking about his past directly, although he alluded to it several times in conversation. There appears to be an estrangement between him and his parents, especially his mother, though this, too, he has not explained. In truth, there does not seems to be a lack of love between him and his family, just a complicated dynamic that no doubt has roots from his younger years.
Oliver, or Ollie to his friends (or really everyone, these days) First Shifted ten years ago under circumstances he has not gone into details about. He did, however, say that it was during this time that he also met Silas Barrows, a man that Ollie has describe his relationship as being "close and profound," and started actively studying demonology. Some time later, he went to expand on his studies by moving in with the Order of Our Sacred Mother, a camp of the Black Fury Garou that focus on the divine feminine found within Christianity but functioning as nuns within the Roman Catholic church. He lived with them for about three years before he began to work as a freelance agent for the Vatican, functioning as a miracle investigator, demonologist, and exorcist while making it very clear that his ties are aligned with the Garou Nation.
It was during the years leading up to 2019 that he traveled the world, having many encounters with all manner of individuals. All the knowledge he has either comes from time he spent studying or trials by fire in the field, and he had made his fair share of friends and enemies. One such friend that he made was Cock Robin, a Nosferatu that he met during a particularly harrowing time in the Paris Catacombs (though Oliver does not seem to be clued into the fact that Cock is a big deal.)
In September of 2019, Ollie was sent by the Vatican to investigate a case associated with the Old Ursuline Convent in New Orleans. He moved into the suites of the Hotel Provincial in the French Quarter, which also served as his headquarters for that investigation, and any other ones that popped up on his path during his stay.
